My bride and I have been married for 36 years. We have one son and 3 grandchildren.

1966 - Graduate, Jonesboro Hodge H. S., Jonesboro, La

Attended Northwestern State Univ, Natchitoches, La and Louisiana State University, Ruston, La

1967 - 1980 - Entered Active Duty with the United States Air Force:

Duties included:

1967-1971: Administrative Specialist assigned to Homestead AFB, Fl; six (6) month deployment to Kunsan Korea during Pueblo Crisis; Rhein Main AB, Germany assigned to the Postal Courier Command transporting highly classified material throughout Europe;

1971-1974: Long Range Radar Operator assigned to 729th Tactical Control Squadron (mobile radar unit), MacDill AFB, Fl and 710th Radar Control Squadron, Tin City, Ak.
1974-1976: Recruiter assigned to Baton Rouge, La (this is where I met my wife of 36 years).

1976-1980: Recruiter/Senior Recruiter, Ft Walton Beach, Fl.

1980-2006: Employed with the United States Postal Service in various capacities throughout my career. Initially employed a a city carrier in Baton Rouge La. Promoted to Supervisor in 1984 and assigned to the Broadmoor Carrier Station. In 1987 I accepted a similar position at the Denham Springs Post Office. A subsiquent promotion in 1991 as Supervison, Postal Operations (Assistant Postmaster) for 5 years and then 6 years in a similar position at the Baker Post Office. During this perion I was temporarily assigned as Officer In Charge (Acting Postmaster) to the St Francisville La Post Office (6 mos); 1 and 1/2 years as OIC at the Gonzales La Post Office, and later 6 mos at the Plaquemine Post Office. In 2003 I was promoted to the postion of Postmaster at the Jackson La Post Office. I retired from the Postal Service on January 3, 2006.
