For many years I had been a stay at home Mom with our four children. Their dad was our total financial support and having worked since I was 13 years old, I couldn't in good conscious continue to allow him to take the total financial responsibility for our family. When the last of our children entered first grade, I registered and entered LSU where I eventually obtained my degree in English education and went on to teach in the public high schools in East Baton Rouge Parish. When I retired from the classroom, I knew I wanted to continue to work.
Real Estate seemed to be the perfect fit for me. When I started in Real Estate in 1990 the medium price range for homes in Baton Rouge was $120,000 and earning a living selling residential homes was tough. But I was motivated, determined and a hard worker. Making myself available when my clients needed me helped me become well established in my community thus walking away with the Rookie of the Year award my first year. I earned that award by doing what others agents won't do and that is to hold open houses and take phone duty; the very place you find new clients.

I joined C.J. Brown Realtors in 1990 and worked very hard to establish myself as a knowledgeable agent. I found that the sales process does not end- but begins - with the contract. I handled all the details for my clients so they could enjoy their "real estate" experience and not have any surprises at closing. Satisfied customers are the foundation of my reputation for superior customer service which attracts repeat clients and referrals.
Today my business is 95% referral based although I continue to meet new clients with open houses and floor duty. I represent their best interest with honesty and integrity; and they benefit from the knowledge and experience I offer. I make certain they understand the buying and selling process, know their options, and possible consequences of their decisions. This helps them "see the big picture" while making decisions that are best for themselves and their families.
I am a one person team and love taking care of all transaction details. I strive for perfection, but most importantly I care about my clients and they know, above all, that they can trust me to do my very best for them at all times. I also re-evaluate my priorities regularly so not to lose sight of what I am working for: God, my husband and my children. They were my inspiration and focus all those years ago, the reason I have been successful, and they will always be the main focus of my life.
